Palmer killed a very much loved lion. People said that the lions were getting their revenge because of what happened to their leader. 

Some cubs came near the tourists and a male lion named Nxaha charged at the tourist and, "Quinn Terence Swales tried his best using his professional skills to keep the tourist safe". "Nxaha retreated for a while and charged at them knocked him down and mauled at his neck and his shoulder, by the time he arrived at the hospital he was dead and people paid their respect for Quinn Terence Swales.

Today at school I researched about child abuse and guess what I found! http://m.nzherald.co.nz/child-abuse/news/article.cfm?c_id=146&objectid=11477624 I found this article and wrote a short summary on my book and then I posted it on my blog when I researched about child abuse I learnt that the writer's name was Isaac Davidson and I got the link so that you people can look at it.

If someone get's abused you should call 111 so that the police can stop the person from bullying you and then you can be hero and do not forget to keep yourself safe or walk with an adult who knows how to fight so that he can fight and you can run away or get the police and everything can be ok.

Literal Describe Ngake and Whataitai the taniwha?Ngake was a strong taniwha and a very good hunter who could hunt people like a wolf and he had lots of energy. What did the birds say was special about the sea?The sea is deep and vast and wide and many different fish hide under the rocks. Why did the taniwha decide they needed to break free of the lake? The sea is the home of Tangaroa, of Hinemoana and many others. Which taniwha broke free from the lake first? Ngake was the first to break free from the lake. Why was Whataitai unable to break free from the lake like his brother? He was unable to break free because he wasn’t as strong and fit as his brother. Why was Whataitai waiting for the tide to come in? He was waiting for the tide to come to carry him across but it made him go too high and he took and he took his final breath and died. What did Whataitai’s spirit transform into? He’s spirit transformed into a bird called Te Keo.
Inferential What knowledge of Maui and Maori mythology makes this story easier to understand? The middle part is easier to understand. What kind of relationship did Ngake and Whataitai have? They had a good relationship How can you tell? I can tell because they are family. What information does this story give you about how people  who have passed away are mourned?

Who is the mother? The lady who is talking on the book. Who is the daughter? Emily Vanessa Brown What was the final straw? The final straw was when the mum told Emily that she had a last chance and that was it. ‘I found being frightened was a normal everyday feeling’ Who said this and what does it mean? The mum said it, she meant that the found out that being frightened of Emily was normal. The subtitle waste of a life - What does this mean? It means Emily’s life was a waste because of drugs and alcohol Who did the mother ask for help? The police, the social welfare and the church people. How did they help? They only helped a little by telling Emily’s mum to go to a ministry. Write a short summary of the story in your own words. Make sure you include all the important parts of the story

Critical thinking What are the social issues in this story? Emily has a problem of running away from her family and she takes drugs and alcohol, and the police did nothing about Emily. How can you relate to this story? I don’t have a relation to this story. How can we help people in these situations? We can teach them about God. What does the word victim mean? The word victim means the good person who is innocent. If you knew Emily how would you have helped her? I could have help her by teaching her about God or else just take to jail.

Critical thinking Who did Emily’s parents turn to for help? The police and the social worker. Analyse the help they were given and find out some other ways or people they could have contacted for help.
