On Thursday the 8th of May 2014, our school had inquiry presentations.
The first class we went to was Room 1. First we sat down and waited for Mrs Greenham to explain what we had to do. After two minutes we had to ask the presenters help us find the kiwis and the other native birds to help us get a prize, after 15 minutes we went to Room 2. Room 2 presented a power point presentation to us about native birds and trees of New Zealand.
Next we went to room 5. In Room 5 we did arm activities like lying on the carpet with our bodies and then we had to crawl, after 15 minutes we went to Room 10. While we were in Room 10 we learnt that if you go walking in the forest you have to let your family know, carry a first aid kit and take a lot of water. Next we went to Room 9,in Room 9 we learnt about native trees,while we were learning about native trees we learnt that the longest and oldest tree was 5,063 years old.
Then we went to Room 8. In Room 8 we learnt about the 6 thinking hats the red hat had emotions and feelings,the green hat had creative things,the black hat had danger and weakness,the white hat was urgent and quick.
Finally we went to Room 7 where we learnt about surviving in the wild. First we learnt about where to camp and then what to eat and then how to make shelter if you do not have a tent.
